About Ms. Ray

Colorado native Peyton Ray is a dynamic solo, chamber, and orchestral flutist. She is the founder of Ilinx [il-links], a Seattle-based wind quintet hailed for its adventurous programming, juxtaposing classic works alongside boundary-pushing new commissions. Ilinx frequently collaborates with Leonore Chamber Orchestra, of which Ms. Ray serves as principal flutist for, as well as for the University of Washington Symphony Orchestra. 

She has been a featured performer at the Sewanee Summer Music Festival, ARIA International Summer Academy, and the National Flute Association’s annual conferences, and has worked in masterclasses with renowned flutists worldwide.

Ms. Ray is completing her Bachelor of Music degree in flute performance, at the University of Washington, where she studies with Professor Donna Shin. She has also completed her minor studies in Entrepreneurship. Ms. Ray is also Programs Assistant for the Seattle Chamber Music Society, helping support world-class performance and community engagement. With her combined experiences in performance and arts leadership, Ms. Ray is committed to impactful advocacy for the role of the arts in society.
